Monte Cristo Mini Waffles

Monte Cristo Mini Waffles: the perfect combination of savory and sweet.

When Brian and I were dating we would frequent a local waffle house. Their specialty was over the top cake batter waffles. These waffles were so good that we even made a pitstop before leaving on our honeymoon. One of our favorites was the Monte Cristo. A classic buttermilk waffle topped with a ham steak, swiss cheese and two fried eggs.

This adaptation of the Monte Cristo features our favorite homemade mini waffle.
