8 Must-Haves for Your Four Legged Friend

If you have been following for a while now then you know the love we have for our two boston terriers, Beau and Bennie runs deep. You also know that I try to be mindful of design when bringing new things into the home and this has carried into life with pets. I thought it would be fun to share a round up of some of my favorite trendy accessories for our four-legged family members.

  1. First up being something that is both practical as well as design conscious, our Laylo dog beds. We loved one so much that when we brought home Bennie we immediately knew that we would need a second. With a durable machine washable cover these beds have withstood the test of time (and teething puppies!). This is the first dog bed that Beau has not chewed through and shredded. With an added ability to replace the cover as needed or to go with an ever changing decor style this is one of my favorite pup purchases to-date.

  2. A durable, washable and unbreakable collar is next up on the list. After going through several nylon collars I was so happy to find this Wild One dog collar. It’s poly coated so it does not fade, smell or tear. We have had our for almost a year now and they show almost no wear, which says a lot when its wearer likes to roll around in the dirt.

  3. Speaking of unbreakable, the Wild One bolt bite toy is now one of the only toys I will buy for our super chewers. We are also going on one year with this fetch and tug toy, and like the collars, shows almost no wear. I honestly can’t believe it! Our boys have chewed through so many toys but this one is still going strong.

  4. After the success of the bolt bite it was a pretty easy decision to add a Wild One twist toy into the mix. We have one in blush and while both dogs love to play fetch, their favorite is when I fill it with treats.

  5. Speaking of fetch… It is definitely Beau’s favorite /F/ word. He lives for the game and would probably continue to play until your arm fell off. Bennie on the other hand prefers to run interference and get in the way of Beau and his game. While standard tennis balls would do the trick I loved the simplicity of the white tennis balls from Wild One. They currently come in white or lavender.

  6. For that “good boy” (or girl) in your life. We have loved adding these Goodboy supplements into our daily routine for both dogs! Fill out a short survey about your pup(s) to find the right supplements for him/her.

  7. Tired of having stainless steel bowls laying around? While these may not be marketed for pets we have been loving these wide shallow bowls from West Elm for food and water. I bought three so each dog could have their own food bowl and a shared water bowl. They are dishwasher safe and have held up great over the last 10 months!

  8. What is a pet food and water station without a mat to keep the mess isolated? I have loved the addition of a vegan leather Gathre Micro+ mat in Fog under our pet bowls. It not only keeps the mess minimal but wipes down easily with a wet soapy rag. Not to mention is fits right in with our home decor.
