One Room Challenge Week 1: Bathroom Makeover

Here we go again!

It’s WEEK ONE of the Spring 2021 One Room Challenge! For those of you unfamiliar with the ORC, it is typically a 6-week design challenge following 20 featured designers and hundreds of guest participants. This year, the challenge has been extended to 8 weeks so get ready for some HUGE reveals!!! Beginning May 6th, designers share their spaces and design plans for a fast paced make-over revealing their finished spaces on June 24th- July 2nd.

I am so excited to be sharing our first floor bathroom renovation with you all. When we purchased our home in 2017 our main bathroom had tan metal wall panels, a tan metal vanity and a tub length stand up shower. As our only full bathroom in the house with four small children, a stand up shower wasn’t the most practical. We did what any new homeowners with two weeks between our closing date and move-in date would do and decided to gut the space and make it as functional as possible. It’s been nearly four years and not much has changed in the bathroom since our first reno. The original tile floor has seen better days and our wood slab counter met its match with our kids. Not to mention, it still lacks any storage space. Well, that is all about to change and to say I am excited to work on this space would be an understatement.
